Family run café

A Leeds-based traditional craft cafe, we serve delicious home-made food, made with locally sourced produce, including a range of teas, coffees and cakes.

rivers MEET hosts a range of events in our function room, including craft fairs, live music and theatre. 

Our function room is available to hire and contains a small licensed bar. It is an ideal venue for exhibitions, baby showers, children's parties, hen parties, funeral wakes, training, meetings, interviews and rehearsals. A variety of catering options are available.

 

The function room can also be used for craft workshops and rates are available for tutors to book the room and handle their own bookings.

We host a wide range of workshops and regular classes; from sewing and painting to children's classes and quilting. Looking for a regular 'drop-in' class? Why not try out our book club, knit & natter or W.I. meetings?

We are also home to The Shop at rivers MEET and we offer a wide range of craft supplies and gifts. 

 

Opening Hours

10.00am - 3.00pm Monday to Thursday

9.30am - 3.00pm Friday to Sunday

Our counter is open daily for cake and drinks until 3.00pm

The kitchen closes at 2.00pm,

so please be aware that all food orders need to be placed before that time.

Please take care not to double park locally, due to legal requirements involving emergency vehicle access, thank you.

Why ethically sourced food matters

rivers MEET serves freshly ground coffee, speciality teas, breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas.

We have delicious homemade food, including cakes baked daily on site. We use seasonal local produce and have made a commitment to keeping food miles down.

Our produce are all locally sourced from the following suppliers:

  • Bread supplied daily by Cottage Bakery, Oulton.

  • Pork, Bacon and sausages by Howgate & Farrar, Woodlesford.

  • Fruit and vegetables from Swillington Organic Farm.

  • Freshly ground coffee roasted in Leeds by Cielo.

  • Eggs supplied by Church View Farm, Wakefield.
